Book Review: Otto Goes to Bed by Todd Parr

Otto Goes to Bed by Todd Parr

I love books by the author Todd Parr. His books have the primary colors throughout which is great for young ones learning. In Otto Goes to Bed, Otto is a dog who wants to stay up and keep playing. He eventually decides to close his eyes and dream.

As a child, I believed days never came to an end. Sleep was for adults who drove cars. And children fell asleep when parents gave them sleepy milk. However, I realized every person needed sleep including me and dreams created success within us.

I recommend this book for encouraging kids to dream.

Book Review Take the Dog Out ! by Lynne Dempsey and illustrated by Mandy Newham-Cobb

Book Review Take the Dog Out! by Lynne Dempsey and illustrated by Mandy Newham-Cobb

Cute dog and delightful book.

This story is about being responsible pet owners. I recommend Take the Dog Out!. It has sketch drawings in black and white along with color. They resemble the comics in the Sunday newspaper. I enjoy reading them as a kid.
The dog causes trouble and grandmother gets the worst of it. Don't worry it’s a wonderful ending.
Dempsey and Newham-Cobb create opportunities to have fun reading the book with counting and seek and find games.

Back Again

Welcome back to my site after I've been on my hiatus. :)
Thank you to everyone for following me on Twitter (https://twitter.com/TheWriterFW) during the month of November. Even though I didn't make the 50K. I started a dynamic book that I decided to finish up in the month of December.

I have three projects I want to finish:
Complete Cut the Flow first draft. (By December 31st)
Complete the final draft of "Kelly" to send to a beta reader. I plan to include all four lines in my submission to The First Line. (By January 8th)
Rewrite Chapters 1-6 and create a timeline for One Death at A time. (By March 1st)
