I read How to Study the Bible for Yourself by Tim LaHaye. In the book, he outlines a three year plan to get the most out of your study.
I finish reading the Bible on December 22. It has taken me a little more than four years because I miss days during the schedule. I have wanted to do this for a long time. I know this has improved my spiritual journey to become closer to God.
The Three Year Bible-Reading Schedule
Read... First John seven times John twice
Galatians through Philemon
The New Testament twice
Read... A proverb every day for four months
Two other wisdom literature chapters daily
(Job, Psalms, Ecclesiastes, Song of
Read repeatedly for one month the following:
Read... One New Testament chapter daily
Two Old Testament chapters daily
Five Old Testament chapters each Sunday
(from How to Study the Bible for Yourself by Tim LaHaye)
On Monday December 23, I have begun reading the Bible again. This time I will outline and summarize the chapters and write down key verses from each.I want to continue to grow in God’s Words.

Hour of the Gun depicts what happen in the lives of Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday after the O.K. Corral incident. The picture has Wyatt Earp as a revenge seeking marshal and Clanton as a land baron controlling the West with his money. I enjoy the cinematography. And the main portrayals by Gardner and Robards are convincing as men looking for justice.
However, I feel like the plot is hurried along.
My questionWhat would be the top five pictures that give a compelling story leading up to the OK Corral, the fight at the OK Corral, and what happen afterward without the plot being rush?

Duck On A Bike by David Shannon is a lovely and funny picture book with the message everyone should try something it may turn out to be fun. A duck sees a bike park. He decides to try it out. At first, it is kind of tricky for him to peddle and balance himself. But he gets the hang of it. Then the other animals see him having fun and want to ride too. They have their chance when a crowd of kids stop and park their bikes.
As for myself, I do new things in reason.Sometimes I see a skateboard leaning against the entrance to the library and I want to jump on it and cruise through the streets. I have I tell myself, don’t you can break a bone. Or when I see a bullet bike park, I stop myself again because I may break too many bones. Well let me end now before I build up enough courage to excite the kid in me try one.

I plan to type up Chapter Four and Five of my novel One Death At A Time. Each one is about 3,500 words long and I hate to type. So my plan is to type them and work on writing Chapter Six this week. And I will start on my last assignment for the Novel Course I am taking at Long Ridge Writers Group Program. So if I get frustrated with typing I'll work on one of the things I mention.
I wonder has anyone invented a scan machine to turn handwritten documents into typed documents.
I keep encouraging myself. I have printed out the numbers 1-20 for each chapter. When I finish writing and tying up a chapter, I hang the number on the wall under the words Chapters Completed. I need to reach the midpoint (Chapter 10).
One Death At A Time has new blog site WWSONE. This site will include research details, characters' interviews and much more.

Populaire captured the style, attitude, and glamour of the 1950’s. The film represented how mankind was determined to build machines to make life easier for women and men. I cheered Rose on as she use two of her fingers speed typing. When Louis made the comment: Using ten fingers isn’t illegal. I burst into laughter and I fell in love with the picture. The scene reminded me of the days I typed with two fingers before the mandatory typing class I had to take in high school.
I sympathized with Rose when she decided to master the proper way to type to keep her job. The idea of painting her fingernails different colors to match up with the same color keys was a terrific idea. I wished our school had a colored code trainer typewriter. Back to the movie, the competitive attitude made the movie delightful. I was glad she defeated the machine. She was declared faster than the machine in the end. And Rose got her man.
There were two drawback scenes of the film. One was Louis playing with the knife in front of the kids. I screamed: Don’t do it. Those kids will try it. And the sex scene was too much. By then I knew Rose and Louis were hot for each other. It detracted from the comedy and the catch me if you can play between them.
The picture is still a winner.

I've decided to reread the novel The Warmth of Other Suns by. It has helped to improve my relationship with my mom. She is a part of the generation who migrate to the North during World War II. She rarely talks about her past and that upsets me. It makes me feel like I am being shut out. However, the novel takes me on the journeys of three individuals during the difficult times of a changing America. A similar journey my mom has taken. It explains and tells their triumphs, regrets, and failures. Some of their experiences bring me to tears.
When my mother talks about her experiences, it’s the good times at Belle Isle and then she express her sadness of have seen tanks rode down the neighborhood during the Riots of 1967. She stops herself from saying anything further because she becomes too emotional and speechless.
I love my mom and can’t help but feel her joy and pain of her past.
